iDEAL Snel bestellen button: brand guidelines

The guidelines listed here are intended to help the implementation of the iDEAL Snel bestellen button on your websites or in your apps. This button triggers iDEAL Checkout and should not be confused with the startpoint for a normal iDEAL payment.

 

Label

There are two labels available for this button: Snel bestellen (default) or Checkout.

Do:

  • Choose the label that matches the language of your website or app.

  • Capitalise the first letter of the first word, followed by all the other letters in lowercase. (In marketing communications, “iDEAL Snel bestellen” or “iDEAL Checkout” should be used.)

Don’t:

  • Shorten, change or delete the text label.

  • Capitalise all of the letters (e.g. SNEL BESTELLEN)

  • Translate the text label into any other languages.

Font

The font used is Montserrat medium weight, with 0% letter spacing. The size of the font changes proportionally with the height of the logo. The font size can be calculated by 0.65h, where h = logo height = text line height. The minimum font size we recommend is 13pt and the maximum is 26pt. Once a font size of 26pt is reached, the margins around the logo and label increase but the logo and label remain the same size.

Do:

  • Follow the guidelines for the responsive resizing of font.

  • Follow the guidelines for colouring the font.

Don’t:

  • Use any other font or font weight.

  • Make the font any smaller than 13pt or larger than 26pt (refer to the guidelines below on sizing).

Logo

The Snel bestellen logo has been adapted slightly for use on this button, to ensure it is still recognisable at smaller sizes. It can be reduced to a minimum of 20dp high. The logo must appear in combination with the text label.

Do:

  • Use the iDEAL Snel bestellen logo as provided for use on the button.

Don’t:

  • Make the logo any smaller than 16dp height.

  • Amend the colours of the logo.

  • Use the logo without the text label.

Style

There is a magenta and a white version of the iDEAL Snel bestellen button available. Choose a button style that contrasts sufficiently with the background colour of your website or app.

The default corner radius is set at 5, however it can be matched to equal the corner radius of any other payment buttons on your website.

Do:

  • Use an iDEAL Snel bestellen button that contrasts with the background of your website or app.

  • Match the corner radius of the iDEAL Snel bestellen button to that of any other payment buttons on your website.

  • Use the same style of the iDEAL Snel bestellen button throughout your website or app.

Don’t:

  • Change the styling of the button.

Button states

The image below indicates the different button states for enabled, hover/pressed and focussed. The focus state can be adapted if necessary to match the button focus state for your website or app.

Sizing

Ensure that the iDEAL Snel bestellen button is equal to or larger than any other payment buttons. If you need to resize the iDEAL Snel bestellen button, adhere to the guidelines for calculating the button and font size to keep its proportions intact.
